Interested in free, bilingual stories that are culturally relevant to students who are Latino? Duke University has an ongoing project called the Mariposas Stories Project, where young Latino children tell stories from their own community. The books are in English and Spanish. They are free to download online. The books are a bit text heavy, and more appropriate for older elementary school students. However, if told in English, the cultural context would still be relevant for an early elementary classroom. The site also includes activities that could be used with each story.
