Feliz Cumpleaños...to me!

It is my birthday today, and in celebration of birthdays everywhere, I would like to share with you a couple of a ideas I have for celebrating birthdays in Spanish class.

¿Qué pasó en tu cumpleaños? 

There is a website that tells you everything that happened on your birthday. The only problem is most of my students were not born before 2000. 

You could also teach the phrase "¿Qué pasó en su cumpleaños?" and have all students draw a picture of what happened on their birthday. This could lead to a great discussion of vocabulary for things commonly found at birthdays like presents, balloons, cake, etc.

I found this video while looking for a birthday to show a student on their birthday. After showing it to one class I realized how much my students enjoyed it. Though it may seem very cheesy, my students really thought it was great.  The video shows a famous children's group in the 1980s from Spain called the Parchis
