I wrote the book '
Delicious Colores' to help my students learn colors through a fun quick story. I have several blog posts on other tools and tricks for teaching colors (see this post, and this post, and this post). One thing I found missing was a story that was interesting where they could follow along. The book is in English but the color words are in Spanish. I found that my students enjoy books that help them focus in on the target Spanish words, rather than books that are purely in Spanish. Another thing I noticed in all the books that I have bought for my students, there were very few depictions of children that look like them. So I enlisted Judith Stroman to help bring to life some of the cut out illustrations I made. With that I hope you will check out this book as a tool to help students learn colors in Spanish.
